Wildland Fire Shelter Old Style Forest Service Survival Firefighting Safety

This is the "old generation" fire shelter, regular size, which used to be carried by wildland firefighters for safety while on the fireline. It was replaced at least 10 years ago by the new generation shelters, so these are technically not allowed on a wildfire, but there are many other fire and non-fire related uses that these shelters are great for. I am listing this as New as in, it has never been deployed though the bag and plastic case have some scuffs. Although it is a little dirty, there are no holes or tears in the plastic cover or around the deployment ring; all seams are intact. There are only a few marks inside the bag from the metal rubbing against it, which won't affect the shelter. The plastic case is a little concave and has some marks on it but still protects the shelter. The actual shelter has never been removed from the bag. It does not come with a cloth cover. Please ask if you have questions and there are no returns, especially if you deploy the fire shelter!
