Now you can have a Professional WLAN/Wi-Fi site survey engineer & CWNE design your building's Wi-Fi. For a flat fee, I will design a single floor (up to 30,000 square feet) of office space, school, etc. I use the industry's leading software, Ekahau ESS or AirMagnet Planner, to design Wireless LANs. You will need to provide me an electronic version of your floor plan, with black walls on a white background. I will ask you several questions about your WLAN requirements, about the construction of the building, etc, and then design it for you. After the design is complete, I will run the design report and send it to you electronically. This design is meant for those who cannot afford thousands and thousands of dollars for a system integrator to come in and design/build your WLAN. My design targets those who are going to buy and install the access points yourselves, as in-house projects. You already know how to build your wired infrastructure and set up your controllers - you just need someone to tell you where to place the access points for optimum performance. My design uses "Predictive Modeling" software that already has most of the industry's leading WLAN hardware programmed into it. Predictive WLAN designs are not a substitute for an on-site WLAN Site Survey - but they are the next best thing, at a fraction of the price! In fact, most of the professional WLAN designers make a few on-site RF measurements and then use the same modeling software methods I use. About me: I hold both CWNE & Cisco CCNP-Wireless certifications. I am a team lead and team member in Wi-Fi system migration and upgrades for healthcare, manufacturing and education facilities. I do installations of Cisco WLAN controllers and switches. I am an experienced and certified WLAN designer with both AirMagnet Survey Pro and Ekahau ESS, with solid understanding of WLAN Spectrum Analyzers. I have hands on experience deploying thousands of autonomous and lightweight access points. Projects range from predictive designs, passive surveys, active surveys, validation surveys, gap analysis, interference detection, and AP/Controller deployments. WLAN designs for voice and RTLS in 5GHz spectrum.
