This wood veneer is made from lacewood and measures 46x95 inches. The veneer is 10mil thick and has a paper backing. This product is listed under inventory code "EXOTIC" and there is only one piece in the lot. Other sizes and types of backed veneer may be available upon inquiry. It is possible to sand and inspect the veneer for a small fee. Thickness varies depending on the type of veneer: paper-backed veneers are 1/40", wood-backed veneers are 1/25", and raw plain veneer with no backing is 1/32"-1/42". To cut the veneer, it is best to use a razor or box knife with a straight edge. Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are usually applied with contact cement, while raw plain veneer requires white or yellow wood glue and pressure. Please note that the pictures have been adjusted to show the color as accurately as possible, but there may be slight variations. When the veneer has a 10mil paper glue backer, one side is a glue substance that is applied to the veneer in our press. The other side is paper and you can apply your bonding agent of choice to that side. For raw veneer or un-backed products, we recommend researching the best way to work with the product online. For finishing, most conventional products can be used as long as the veneer is applied correctly. It is important to note that wood products are natural and may have minor splits or tears, which will not impact the quality or satisfaction of the product. Some sanding may be required before finishing. All measurements are in inches and shipping can be combined for multiple auction wins. Please also note that there may be some splits at the end of raw veneer.
