This letterpress printing block, which was referred to as a cut, is 8 inches x 10 1/4. The metal is Zinc and is nailed on with brads. It was manufactured back in the 50's, and was one of  24 cuts used in Plymouth, Massachusetts to print coloring books. It was one page of a 24 page coloring book during 1620. The sample is a photo copy, not actually printed from the letterpress block. The saying on the cut/block says: "The Mayflower Voyage took 66 days". This cut is type high, which means if you had a letterpress printing press, that you could actually print from this cut.
