Up for bid is a very well built Paul Breisch casting of a 1/3 scale associated hit and miss model engine.  This is a fully working engine that runs very well and starts easily.  As you can see from the brass tag, this was machined by R&B Zettle for R.E. Zettle of Millheim, PA sometime during the 1970's.  The tag on the front of the engine reads "The Hired Man" 2 1/4 hp.  As you can see, it has the "B" in a circle on the side of the engine, which stands for a Breisch casting.  It is mounted on a solid cherry frame that includes a solid cherry protective cover and 4 snap in legs.  The cover is attached by 6 brass buckles and has 2 brass carrying handles on the sides.  Underneath the frame is a low tension coil and connecting wires from the battery terminals.  On top of the cherry frame, in front of the engine, is a small brass fuel tank that the Coleman lantern fuel goes into.  The overall measurement of the cherry base and cover is 14 9/16" X 10 5/8" X 13 3/8" H.  The flywheels measure a little over 6" in dia. To ship, I will drain the Coleman fuel out of the tank, so fuel will need to be added and a battery will also be needed.  I will ship in a box roughly 30" L X 14" W X 15" H at a weight of approximately 36lbs.  I'm only charging $25.00 for shipping in the Cont. USA.  The shipping will be via UPS Ground with insurance and signature conformation.  It will cost more than the 25, but I'll pay the remainder. I will take a video of the engine running and try to post in on You Tube.  It is raining today, so I will have it posted on Thursday or Friday or a link where you can go to see it running.  Now being this is a model of an antique engine before the days of safety guards and other safety devises, I'm selling this as a running engine that if not properly used may cause an injury.  With that being said, I'm selling this to only someone over the age of 18 with the understanding that there are no instructions of how to operate, start or maintain it.  It is sold "as is where is"  The new owner will assume all responsibilities and liabilities to himself or others with this engine.  Please ask any questions or concerns about this before you bid on it.  Here is my # if its a detailed or lengthy question about this item (814) 553-8865.  By bidding, you are agreeing to all the above disclaimers or any other that arise from this engine.  I can't figure out how to upload the link of the video.  So if anyone wants to see it, send me a message or call and I'll send it to you individually.
