Working Miniature Model Hit and Miss Model Engine Gas Powered Description Hand Machined by Master Machinist - Howard Louth I have recently been insulted by a couple of Ebayers who have commented on my asking price for this engine. Obviously if you look at my feedback I would consider myself credible however as noted in the auction I know little about these engines. If someone could comment on what the value might be rather than be a ^&%$^ about it I would appreciate it. Only then will I consider adjusting the asking price. I am mainly a buyer, not a seller and typically will assist a seller if I think he is unaware of the value. Unless you have some constructive comments, please keep them to yourself. If your into micro engineering you may have heard of the late Howard Louth. Howard was an inventor and a senior engineer for 31 years with Boeing. He held a patent for a particle impact protector for a pressure sensing transducer used in a wind tunnel. He had a lifelong interest in astronomy and hand built Maksutovs (telescopes). Such skilled engineering allowed him his other passion, scratch built engines such as this example. He was a member of the Sedro-Wooley Engine Club in Washington and also had built a Keystone hit and miss among a few others. I purchased this engine after he passed in 2008. I am not a hit and miss engine collector and thought someone else might like it. This is a complete one off custom and not a kit of any type so it is truly original. I will be listing two other engines including one from Howard Louth. The first picture is of all the engines I have listed however the subsequent photos show the one specific to this auction. Length: 15 inches Height: 11 inches Width: 6-1/4 inches Flywheel: 6 3/4 inches Don't ask me if it runs. I don't know enough about these to run them. I have some other engines that may also go so keep watching.
