This is an XScribe StenoRam Ultra steno machine/court reporting machine. Machine is in fair physical condition with scuffs, marks and wear from usage.  There is one crack visible on the bottom/side of the machine, it does not affect the unit in any way, just looks like a possible stress crack. This is an older discontinued steno machine. One key is double-wide, the one in the middle. All others are the same width. There are some scratches/dimples on a few of the keys which is typical for used units (fingernails tapping on them).  All keys press and release just fine. All keys registered properly on the display as well. I replaced the rechargeable battery on the unit, the one that came with it was dead. Once the battery was replaced the machine powered on properly.  The display is in good condition, there are some small splotches on the screen which result in some dead/missing pixels, but not too bad.  The machine can also be hooked up to a computer for real-time notes transfer. A cable and floppy disks are included, although I can't guarantee that the software is usable (it's roughly 20 years old!). The machine has manual or electronic mode, in electronic mode the roller is powered and is activating properly. Machine may need to be serviced for optimal operating condition, I'm not an expert in these units so I can only do basic testing. The power button is in a strange place, it's under the keys on the left. It powers on and off properly simply by pressing that button.
