Up for auction - A vintage Yale Safe Lock Salesman Sample, nicely mounted on a numbered wooden mount. Removed from a closed Locksmith shop, this is a wonderful piece of safe history. I'm not a "Safe Person", although in the Locksmith/Hardware business, but from the looks of the nicely machined backing, chrome turn dial, rear chrome cover, weight etc, it appears to be a very early, well manufactured hardware item. I've removed the backing for all to see. I found it without a set combination, but it is a "hand-change" unit, meaning, it can be easily set by someone who is familiar with safes. This is also a factory numbered advertising mount as well. I've taken many photo's. Overall condition is very good - some overall scratches and tarnishing. Dial spins freely. I would imagine as a display item, it has seen very limited use, if any at all, you be the judge. Could use a good cleaning. Everything appears to be in original condition....down to the layer of felt on the bottom. Approx. weight - ( 3 ) lbs.
