This Yamaha generator has only been used a hand full of times and it's in perfect condition (still in it's original box with original plastic wrapping). It works great, however, after we moved from an apartment to a house with a gas run Generac generator, we don't need it anymore. We don't go camping or anything so we decided to sell it so someone else can get more out of it. Yamaha has designed the EF2000iS to be super quiet at under 58dBA (decibels). For a reference point, a normal conversation is about 60dBA. One of the biggest complaints people have with their portable generator is how loud they are, which is understandable because the noise can drive you a little crazy. Yamaha is a leader when it comes to portable inverter generators as they have pulse width modulation technology that creates pure sine-wave voltage, which means, it produces clean energy that won’t damage your electronic equipment, high-tech appliances or power tools. This is an important factor to consider when buying an inverter generator. There’s no point in buying a cheap power generator and then have it damage your equipment.
