The Wendel's Notebook states that this is for a 2-1/2hp and larger Nelson, I think it will also fit a 1-1/2hp but I am not 100% sure of that. Some one has drilled a couple extra holes in it to mount a smaller mag, that is common in my experience and doesn't hurt anything.

Only the early engines had the boss on top of the cylinder for the hot tube and most are not drilled out (a cordless drill could probably to it though) This chimney is a reproduction but it is a very nice casting.
