The extractor consists of a heavu duty food grade stainless steel drum with handle for manual turning of the frames to extract the honey. The bottom is cone shape and the extractor has stainless steel legs Being a two frame extractor, it is ideal for the hobbyist or small apiarist. Yes, the turning handle is geared and the gearing is all steel - not rubbishy plastic. Now comes fitted with a 3/4 inch honey gate. And the bottom of the extractor is tapered in a cone-shape to direct honey to the honey gate at the bottom. It comes with a plastic coating to protect the stainless steel from scratches in transit.
