Brand new, the 20mm Upgraded Soft Touch Vial Hand Crimper for Flip Top (two piece) seals has a number of new features, including soft feel cushioned grips, enhanced corrision resistance, and enhanced finishing of components and crimper jaws. More comfortable operation The grips will withstand repeated exposure to cleaning and sterilizing solutions, as well as exposure to some autoclave processes. Grips can be removed if necessary. Enhanced corrosion resistance Manufactured using a combination of stainless steel, and hard plated, steel components where both corrosion resistance and increased wear and lubricity are required for optimum function. (ROHS compliant) *Corrosion testing of plating results included on Corrosion Resistance tab. Enhanced finishing of components and to crimper jaws Newly added, 6 step, micro surface finish and polishing process to components that require additional wear and lubricity characteristics, such as the crimper jaws. The enhanced surface finish provides smoother operation, and allows the “flow” of the material during the crimping process to be more fluid, providing a consistently tight and uniformly crimped seal. More on Corrosion Resistance: Corrosion resistance test results of hard plate used over stainless and hardened steel components: Atmospheric Corrosion, environmental testing in rural, marine, and industrial settings. Tested in North Carolina, Texas, and Washington DC, for periods ranging from 6 to 15 months.
