NIST traceable 30 day warranty! this thing has about 15 db less danl noise than 8563e/8562e, the sweep speed and overall processing is much faster too than any other agilent spec an. the lcd has about twice the resolution that the 8562ec has, meaning much clearer measurements. the bw min is 1 hz / 1 hz. the phase noise on this is super low as well and you can buy phase noise measurement utilitities for this. for most phase noise measurements you can use this over one of the new phase noise systems that are super expensive. Phase Noise @1 GHz (10 kHz offset) -118 dBc/Hz Phase Noise @1 GHz (1 MHz offset) -147 dBc/Hz this one has the option : electronic attenuator, its different than the standard 10 and 2 db increment dual attenuator setup. I think it only works on the low band signal path and somehow filters harmonics or spurious noises somehow. this analyzer has a lo nulling option for super low freq measurements so you have a clearer signal at 3 hz not bleeding in with the lo 0 db output. the danl is super low on this machine therefore you dont need a preamp, but if you desperately do need the preamp option, to get -170 db measurements, I can include it for an extra 1000$ if I have one available at the time.I believe it achieves somewhere around -155 db at 1 ghz without the preamp which is insane.
