The Smart Motor Controller provides networking functions and exceptional engine protection. Each Smart Motor Controller has seven operation modes available. The starting function is microprocessor controlled. This feature makes it compatible with standard 3-phase squirrel-cage induction or Wye-Delta (6-lead motors). There are extensive protective stopping features. Some protective features are: Pump Control, Braking Control, Smart Motor Braking, and Accu-Stop. The SMC-2 controller has a SCR Bypass/Function Contactor and?built-in Electronic Motor Overload Protection. There is also CT on each Phase and protective Metering. This Allen Bradley Smart Motor Controller provides sophisticated communication options. These options make this module capable of being stopped and started from several different sources. In addition, this module utilizes communication interfaces to provide the user with diagnostic details.
