Drywall Patch 4" x 4" Construction Grade Adhesive Backed  Aluminum Plated,..Provides a stiff backing surface that won't let mud just fall into the wall cavity and adds an additional layer of protection. Less waste, Easier Application, Stiffens Repair..one of the best designs I've seen. Ultra Thin >>>Covers easier Resists mold and mildew I'm a pro at this so here's some tips 1>*Clean the area and remove loose debris,..excess paper, rock, etc. Solvents work best because they clean thoroughly and evaporate quickly,...one of favorites is laquer thinner. This will remove finishes so be careful. It also is flammable and stinks. Soap and water will also work. 2>*Dry the area with a lint free cloth(preffered but in a jam use what you have) 3>*Center & Apply the patch. 4>*Evenly apply compound (a 6" knife is best for this size, smaller will work just wastes mud, more sanding, etc) 5>*Allow to dry completely (if it's gray,..stay away) 6>*Sand till flat but don't remove too much (expect dust, cover electronics, wear respirator, you get it) 7>*Repeat steps 4,5,6 working your coverage area out,.. making diameter larger. This is feathering and will mask the patch area making it aesthetically pleasing and unnoticed. (three coats works for a pro,.. a novice may require more) use your eyes & hand to decide when finished. A long straight edge like a ruler is also usefull. This will show high spots and low spots. 8>*Prime & Paint (You did it!) If you follow my directions your family will be amazed,...Psssst,...our secret. You can take the credit. Good Luck!
