Bayvarol 4 strips - for the detection and destruction of Varroa mites (Varroa Jacobsoni). Applications: detection (diagnosis) and destroy (therapy) for varroa mite of honeybees. Contraindications: None. Side effects: None. Interactions with other drugs: not known. Active ingredient - flumetrin, 1 strip contains 3.6 mg of the flumetrin . Dosage: for bee families with normal development one uses four strips. Weak beefamilies, families of the nucleuses and young working bees, occupying less than a half of the bee spaces in the beehive, shall get half a dose, that is two strips. Use and Its Duration: Bayvarol Strips are put into the bee spaces in the beehive in the central zone of the brood nest so that the bees can move along them from both sides. For this the loops for hanging are folded back in the given marked places of the fold — both in the same side and are hung on the upper rod of the section frame. In case of strong beefamilies, occupying several nest frames, one can also connect two strips with lower ends so that they, without separating nest frames, can be put into the bee spaces in the beehive and also again take them out. Detection: before a lowering of the strip cover the bottom of the hive by the pure bottom-liner. The duration of application should be continued for at least 24 hours. After that, the bottom of the hive is checked for the presence of dead Varroa mites. Destruction: the duration of application should be at least 15 days but not more than six weeks. Special instructions: the medicinal agent can’t be used after the shelf life expiry. Keep out of reach of children. The packet shall be opened only straight before usage. The honey from treated families is used in food according to the standard procedure. Storage: Store in a dry place, protected from light, out of reach of children and pets , away from food and feed, at a temperature between 10 degrees and 20 degrees Celsius.
