Nice Laboratory shaker that measures about 3 inches in diameter and about 4 inches high (to top of platform). We connected it to a function generator and it appears to work as it should (go no-go test). The coil resistance is about 2.5 Ohms. The unit is in good overall physical condition although at some time it probably fell on the two terminals so they are a little tweeked (insulating / mounting block is a little pushed down) but they work ok and were not shorting to the frame. Because of this, I am selling it for PARTS or REPAIRS as per eBay protocol. This item was manufactured by: LDS (Ling Dynamic Systems) now part of Bruel & Kjaer. There is NO MODEL NUMBER on this unit but we believe it is a LDS Model V201 Series Permanent Magnet Shaker. It came from a small laboratory set-up that was dismantled. Description from Bruel & Kjaer web site: The V201 (Sine Force Peak 17.8 N) shaker is ideal for fatigue and resonance testing, and various medical/veterinary applications. The shaker has reproduces a vibration environment under laboratory conditions. Although extensively used in industry they are ideally suited for use in universities and research establishments to investigate the dynamic behaviour of structures and materials.
