*** Computerized Cardmatic Conversion/Upgrade for Your Tester! *** Did I say computerized? You bet! Your Cardmatic will never need cards again! This auction is for a refurbishment and computerization of YOUR Cardmatic Tube Tester. You ship your tester to me, I refurbish it and install the wiring harness, then I return it to you with a computer control box, software, users manual, and a new calibration cell. Once your tester is received turn around time is less than a week. The compatible testers are the Military Hickok USM-118A or USM-118B, the Western Electric KS-15874-L1 or KS-15874-L2, or the commercial Model 1234A. The 121 and 123 series of testers are not compatible. NOTE: If you don't already have a suitable Cardmatic Tube Tester but are interested in getting one, contact me. Your tester does not have to work. This is a great time to get that broken down Cardmatic in the garage fixed up! Also perfect for Cardmatic testers with no cards. As long as the meter and transformers are good the repair and refurbishment costs are included in the Buy-It-Now price. Please note the card reader is not refurbished. However, if the card reader worked before the upgrade then it will still work. The computerization does not modify the tester or disable the card reader in any way. The computer interface box is new, right off the production line, in the new gorgeous blue finish. When I say your tester will be refurbished, I mean it (all of this work will be performed by me personally): * All electrolytic capacitors in the power supplies replaced * Grid Signal Amplitude potentiometer mod installed * 5U4 rectifier tube replaced with solid state rectifier * All push button switch decks disassembled, cleaned, then reassembled * Selenium rectifiers replaced with silicon diodes * Full Calibration * NEW Calibration Cell If you don't know about the Computerized Cardmatic testers, hold on to your hat. The software is supplied not only on a floppy disk, but also on a bootable thumb drive that boots directly into the software. That means no hard drive or operating system is needed! There are no switches to set, even if testing Compactrons and Nuvistors.
