It is important to note that this sealant should not be applied to building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers, or solvents, or in totally confined spaces. It is also great for weatherproofing, adhering stiffeners to building panels, and perimeter sealing of doors and windows. It cures into a medium modulus silicone rubber when exposed to atmospheric moisture. For additional limitations, check the cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet. It should not be applied to frost-laden or wet surfaces or surfaces that are in direct contact with food. The joint performance remains stable with aging or exposure to weather, and it is almost unaffected by sunlight, rain, sleet, snow, ultraviolet radiation, atmospheric contamination, ozone, and temperature extremes. Dow CorningВ® 795 Silicone Building Sealant is flexible and can withstand plus or minus 50 percent joint movement in a well-designed joint. Dow CorningВ® 795 Silicone Building Sealant comes in a cartridge that contains 10.3 fl oz (305 ml) of the product. Dow CorningВ® 795 Silicone Building Sealant in White is a silicone material that can be applied cold and does not sag. This Medium Modulus Building Sealant is especially suitable for expansion joints for structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metals, and plastics with В±50% joint width movement. This one-part, neutral cure silicone formulation is useful for structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metal, and plastic applications.
