For Auction:: HP 410C VTVM upgrade package consisting of: New A3, A6, A7 solid state PC boards, High voltage and Low voltage " re-stuffed" filter capacitors with capacitor mounting insulators ( either new, we fabricate them in our shop from micarta stock, or original insulators ) and mounting hardware included. High and low voltage filter capacitor cans have been "re-stuffed" with new capacitors. After installing this upgrade package, you may use the A3 board included in the upgrade package, OR a HP Solid State A3 board, but NOT an original "hybrid" A3 board. Detailed installation instructions and schematic package sent via email after sale. The PC boards are brand new and install in place of the original A7, A6 and A3 boards. The A6 ( Calibration) board uses bournes style 10 turn trim pots for improved calibration accuracy. A7 power supply board is designed for use with the Solid State A3 board ONLY. The A3 board is tested and adjusted for FET balance before shipment. **** (Calibration is needed after this kit is installed). **** After modification, the original A3 board (Hybrid board) is not compatible with the new circuitry**** This is the board set WE use when we overhaul a HP-410C. The Kit does NOT contain ( but are available): an IEC AC connector, DC Zero Potentiometer and divider resistors ( some HP-410C versions do NOT have the DC Zero rear panel potentiometer installed), 100 ohm resistor and .0047uf disk ceramic capacitor ( components attached to the AC Probe Jack: the 100 ohm 1/4w resistor is often open or drifted in value). This kit does NOT contain any parts to overhaul or repair the HP AC probe, or a new meter face. All sales are final, no warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied. No returns, however we will work with you to ensure a successful kit installation. ********Installation of this kit requires a fair bit of technical expertise, patience, ability to interpret schematics and good soldering skills. Instructions include proper color code wiring for the new A7 board. Connections to the new A7 board are solder, which eliminates the original HP " slip on" board connectors ( A never ending source of intermittent problems) ****** We recommend you acquire a copy of the HP410C service manual **** Calibration required after installation of these upgrade components **** This kit is a terrific low cost way to upgrade your old faithful HP410C ( hybrid) VTVM to a reliable solid state configuration, for many more years of useful service.
