The process of rotary evaporation is most often used to separate solvents with low boiling points, such a n-hexane or ethyl acetate, from compounds which are solid at room temperature and pressure.
I purchased this pump and strainer to supply water in my cabin. My plumber told me that the flow rate was too high for my application and I needed a lower flow rate pump which I bought and installed. Therefore, the pump has not been used.
