The MagTek PINPad is a versatile and efficient keypad that converts keypresses into ASCII characters and transmits them using the RS-232 protocol. Available in both Non-Encrypting and Encrypting models, this PINPad features ten numerical keys (0-9) and two other keys that serve as Clear and Enter. Utilizing simple ASCII character commands to control the device's mode and LED display, the PINPad offers two modes of operation: BUFFERED MODE and DIGIT MODE. The communication interface of the MagTek PINPad is full duplex and utilizes an Acknowledged/Not Acknowledged (ACK/NAK) handshaking method, which reduces errors. The same RJ-11 connector that contains transmit and receive signals also supplies power to the device. Although these PINPads may look new, they have never been tested, and as such are being sold as used.
