AP6.0 Estate item: One of a Kind Vintage Printer's Block, Family Crest Shield with Castle, Arm and Sword with the motto "O Valer O Morir" "Either Valor or Death". An incredible Spanish printer's block from the house of Valero, a very old emblem, an important version of the Heraldic crest with the Cross of the Holy Office in the Cross Potent (fr Latin potentia or "power") style on the shield and helmet signifying divine guidance and protection. Over the years the Valero name came to be spelled differently in different families and places. The history of the motto, apparently according to some texts, begins with a legendary brave knight named Don Juan Valero of Useras, an Aragon Knight fighting for King James who refused to leave the field of battle. The block is well worn on the edges, especially the top from many years of use, otherwise good, no cracks or repairs. The reverse of the block is shimmed with thick paper cut from old Spanish order forms. ********************************************** Paypal payments are also accepted  please add $6.99 US shipping.
