SecureStart Compressor Start Module 543-0120-00   Features: SecureStart is designed to reduce start currents by up to 75%.The device also provides additional benefits by continuously monitoring supply voltage to prevent motor stalling under low voltage conditions. A delay function provides additional protection in the event of an emergency shutdown. •    Designed for single-phase, 208/230V, 60Hz Copeland Scroll compressors •    Can be used with Copeland Scroll single-stage, Copeland Scroll UltraTech dual capacity, or Copeland Scroll Digital continuously modulating compressors •    For use with compressors with a maximum operating current of 32A; limits starting current to less than 45A and is self-adjusting to motor current; requires no manual calibration •    Evaluated for use with all Rheem & WeatherKing residential single phase (208/230V, 60Hz) equipment when applied per the manufacturer’s instructions; not compatible for use with JEZ or JEC equipment, since it requires the use of a compressor contactor The SecureStart module provides additional benefit by continuously monitoring supply voltage to prevent motor stalling under low voltage conditions. When conditions such as low supply voltage sags or locked rotor exist, this module will switch off the motor thereby protecting the compressor. A delay function provides additional protection in the event of an emergency shutdown. The SecureStart (543-0120-00) module is designed to work with single-phase (60 Hz, 208/230v) Copeland Scroll® compressors in a variety of applications. It is best suited for applications where in-rush current is regulated or where voltage variations are common. This module can be used with Copeland Scroll single-stage, Copeland Scroll UltraTech dual capacity, or Copeland Scroll Digital™ continuously modulating compressors. SecureStart (543-0120-00) is designed for motors with a maximum operating current of 32 amps. The product limits starting current to less than 45 amps and is self-adjusting to motor current requiring no manual calibration. Use of SecureStart with compressors that have nameplate RLA values above 32 amps must be tested by the system designer to ensure that the application of the compressor does not exceed the current limitations of the SecureStart module.
