Sidney Famous Woodworking Machinery 12" Long Bed Jointer  This is a 1916 or so machine in very nice condition.  The table is 88" long over all.  It uses a round clamshell two knife head in babbitt bearings.  The bearings are in good condition.  The fence is in very good condition with all adjustments and knobs fully functional.  The table leveling is in good condition as is the height adjustment for both the in-feed and out-feed.  The tables themselves are also in good condition.  The base needs stripping and repaint.  And everything else needs cleaning and lube. The shaft moves freely and is 1 3/8" in diameter at the driven end.  We do not have the drive or motor pulleys.  We are selling the jointer with a relatively new 3 HP three phase TEFC motor if you want it.  There is no motor starter.  Sorry, we do not have a single phase motor.  The blade guard is also missing but we do have a life size heavy paper pattern taken from another jointer. Included is a dust pipe reducer that will fit the base casing hole and reduce the outlet to 6" in diameter.  Also included is a heavy welded metal belt guard.  There is a set of blades (that are dull) and we are including 9 additional blades that are 15 inches long so they will need cutting.  The 9 additional blades are sharp. We were planning on using a variable frequency drive (about $170) to act as a starter and to create true three phase power from 220 VAC single phase.  But we acquired an 8" jointer and realized that we really did not need the larger machine.   So a bit of work, some pulleys and a starter and you are set to go. It weights about 1,500 pounds but once the tables are removed (easy), the base is just about 1,000 pounds.  We do not have a fork lift but two people can get it on a trailer with a ramp.
