This listing is for a single 10gm tub of coupling compound used in the building (or rebuilding) of a gamma scintillator detector. Use this compound for coupling of a scintillation crystal to the Photomultiplier Tube (PMT). The compound eliminates the air gap between the crystal and PMT. This allows more light to pass through the connection, reducing reflection and loss of light by better matching the refractive index of the mated surfaces. This coupling compound can be used on a wide range of crystal types and PMTs, including crystals that are "canned" and have their own coupling window or those that couple directly to the PMT. iRad Silicone Coupling Compound is a high viscosity silicon grease that is safe, and easy to work with. This is the same high quality, high viscosity silicone compound I use when making my own scintillation detectors. Sold in 10gm size tub, enough to couple many detectors (quantity of couplings depends on size of crystal and PMT surfaces). This listing is for a single 10gm tub of compound, no other items shown are included with this sale.    As with most all my auctions, your satisfaction is guaranteed and this item comes with a 30 day warranty and right of return.   I ship very fast, same day if early enough, next day otherwise (except Holidays and Weekends). Packaging will be safe and secure (Priority Mail available). Thank you for looking. Please don't forget to see my other items.
