Simpson 0-100 Amp Panel Ammeter X-253450-10 & Two High-End 50mV Shunts Included! This is a Brand New Simpson 0-100 Amp Panel Ammeter Two High-End 50mV Shunts Included! Each shunt is embossed with current and voltage rating--at 50 amps input, the shunt drops 0.50mV (thus, the needle on the meter pegs all the way to the right). Any current through your shunt from 0 amps to 50 amps will display the corresponding current draw on the meter. The same phenomena occurs with the 100 amp shunt, only meter displays from 50 to 100 amps. Theoretically and practically, you may measure any electrical quantity with this meter--volts, current, resistance, power, sound pressure level, etc. All that is needed is an output from your unit under test that ranges from 0 volts to 50 millivolts (you'd have to convert your current output, sound pressure level output, etc into a voltage output of 0-50 mV); it's this 0-50mV voltage range that will cause the meter to sweep from left to right. This high-end, mil-spec setup (both the Simpson meter and the two shunts) was--and still is-- used on the instrument panel in the F16A/B aircraft program.
