Steam Speeder Locomotive Railroad Engine Boiler Pump Whistle STEAM INSPECTION CAR ***WOW*** YOUR OWN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE!!!! Steam Speeder. It is powered by a 5 to 6 hp. steam engine. The boiler itself is 20" dia. x 40".  It measures 80" high to the top of the stack. The pop-off valve is set at 100 lbs. The boiler has 22 - 1 1/2" diameter copper tubes rolled in; they are 24" long. The firebox is nearly 20" in dia. x 14" tall with plenty of room for large pieces of wood or coal.  It also includes a hand pump as well as a mechanical pump that runs off the engine. The speeder has a 10 gallon water storage tank in the wood and coal box. The steam engine has forward and reverse.  The bore is 3 inches and a 3-inch stroke. The overall length of the engine  alone is 32" (width 14" and height 28"). The flywheel is 10" in diameter. I estimate the hp at 5-6, depending on boiler pressure.  With permission it can be run on abandoned railroad tracks. I do pressure test each boiler I have built to 250 lbs. and have sold over 42 boilers with no problems. I have been a welder for 43 years.  They are all equipped with steam pressure relief valves. I can install valves to go off at 90 to 150 lbs. I have owned 3 one hundred year old antique boilers. They all were built with 1/4" steel. My boilers are constructed with 3/8" steel and have copper tubes rolled in.
