This vacuum table is made from PVC. It’s over 3/4” thick. The larger number of round openings in the vacuum table are mounting locations to ensure flatness. These are deep enough to allow the fastener heads to be below the surface to avoid any tool travel. The two round openings with the material cleaned out around them are the vacuum locations. These are threaded with 3/4” dia. NPT threads for 3/8" fittings. The smaller holes found around the perimeter and in the center of each square are 1/4” diameter holes, approx. 1/4” deep for the location of 1/4” stop pins. This allows the user to locate repetitive machined parts just about anywhere on the vacuum table. These squares with the 1/4 inch holes in them also have a cross machined in each to allow suction to be distributed evenly below the material being machined. These vacuum tables are deliberately produced with the grid groves 0.035 inch deeper then needed. This way the user may remove this thickness from the surface to ensure flatness and to match with their CNC machine following the mounting of the table. The gasket material is a 1/4” diameter and can be used anywhere between the squares. You can create whatever shape is required that can be made around the squares.
