Thsi book iis a very good example of book making and printing from the late 1600's the spine has been rebound at some point and the title page has thename of an owner from 1811 and ads some history to it also thefirst couple of pages are loose but ar their and a book binder could fix it. [1693] A very good original full leather binding. The tenth edition, corrected. 6.25" x 3.75" x 1.00". 12mo. [12pp.]/pp.528 . Black morocco with simple gilt decoration (dulled) . Each board curiously decorated with two acorns. The spine with 4 raised bands and gilt decorated compartments. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Front board also with two scuff marks (now carefully repaired). Free-endpapers absent. Names to recto of first engraving. There are two leaves of plates that precede the title page; the first illustrates Matthew 26:39; the second is an engraved, title-page: “The Christian Sacrifice.” Followed by a printed title within a double-ruled border. There is one further full-page engraving (facing page 1): "The Institution of his last Supper." Clean English text in paragraphs, all pages with good margins. A little light staining and a few small blemishes restricted to page edges
