VINTAGE 1948 DELTA UNISAW - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT - MUST SEE TO BELIEVE TOTALLY RESTORED - RETAIL PRICE OF THE PARTS IN THIS PROJECT APPROACHED $800.  SEE THE EXTENSIVE WRITE-UP BELOW. For Sale - A fully reconditioned vintage Delta UNISAW  -  $1,025.00  FIRM I am selling a 1948 Delta 10” Unisaw.   This table saw has been disassembled and completely rebuilt.  It is in absolutely excellent condition, fully functional, and ready to run with no additional effort or required work. The saw is Model #1450, serial number 73-758. It was totally disassembled, with all components being thoroughly cleaned and/or sandblasted, before everything was primed, finish painted, and reassembled.  The saw is as good on the inside as it is on the outside. There is no rust or corrosion on this saw. The cabinet has no dings, dents, or extra holes in it.  The cast iron base is as solid as the day it was made.  The top is flat, with no holes or rust present. The following list details the saw’s rebuild work and features:     (The ($$) numbers are the retail cost of the parts installed) ·        The arbor bearings were replaced with new extended race bearings.  ($33) ·        The matched set of three v-belts is new.   ($26) ·        The 15 foot long electrical cord and plug are new. ($28) ·        The shafts, spacers, and gears were cleaned, and then black oxide plated for increased corrosion protection. ($35) ·        Thrust washers at the lift and tilt shafts are new.  ($6) ·        The cabinet was sandblasted, primed, and painted in high gloss Matrix automotive gray urethane paint.  ($150) ·        A galvanized steel sheet metal cabinet bottom plate was installed to replace the original carbon steel piece.  ($18) ·        The 1 hp repulsion induction high torque motor was totally reconditioned, with new bearings and brushes.   ($245) ·        The electrical switch is a new Pass-Seymour commercial toggle reworked to correctly fit the switch housing.    ($18) ·        The Unisaw/Rockwell switch plate is a new reproduction stainless steel replacement plate.  ($25) ·        The dust door has been totally restored including sandblasting, priming, and finish painting to match the saw. ·        The name plate on the dust door is a new stainless steel exact reproduction of the original name tag.   ($25) ·        A “no-drill” wrench hanger was installed at the front table top bolt.   ($5) ·        The saw comes with a new and improved red powder coated blade wrench.   ($22) ·        The interior of the saw cabinet was primed and finish painted in matching gray, when the cabinet outside was refinished, for ease of cleaning and service. ·        The arbor is complete with the OEM blade washer and a new heavy duty replacement left hand threaded nut.  ($12) ·        A new Bosch 10” thin kerf 40 tooth carbide tipped saw blade is included.  ($40) ·        The blade insert is the original, but was sandblasted and scotch-brited, before being installed and leveled. ·        The elevate and tilt hand wheels and mechanisms work operate smoothly and effortlessly. ·        The lock knobs on both hand wheels are fully functional. ·        All knobs match and have been sandblasted before being Scotch-brited to a fine grain finish. ·        The included original fence has also been totally disassembled and reconditioned.  The OEM mild carbon steel shafts at the fence eccentric and at the clamp lever have been replaced with hardened dowel shafts.   ($8) ·        The “Saturn” knob and the stainless steel shaft at the fence lock are new replacement parts.   ($16) ·        A new billet aluminum knob is included for operating the fence rear clamp.  ($18) ·        The fence rails are complete with the original stand-off fasteners, and have good gear teeth on the underside for fully functioning micro adjustment of the fence.  Both front and rear rails have been Scotch-brited. ·        The rails have been redrilled to allow for increasing the fence to blade capability from 22.625” to 30.25”. ·        The original Delta miter is in excellent condition, after having been disassembled, sandblasted, and reassembled. ·        The saw’s internal components, including the underside of the top, were all primed and finish painted. ·        The dust guard at the blade was sand blasted and ceramic coated to minimize sawdust adhesion and build-up. ·        The motor was painted two tone gloss black and gray after the reconditioning was complete. ·        Reassembly was done using stainless steel fasteners. ($46) ·        A lifting bar was fabricated and installed in the hidden area under the cast iron base. ·        The saw is currently wired for 115V single phase use.      (The parts noted above total $776.00, without counting any of my labor or incoming freight …. or the saw itself)   This table saw is available for inspection and local pick up in Freeland, Michigan.   I will crate the saw for an additional $100 fee, if you want it shipped.  The truck freight would be at your expense.    I also am selling a vintage Delta 6” jointer on a cast iron stand.  The jointer and saw are shown together in one of the photos. This jointer has also been totally disassembled and completely rebuilt with the same quality as the saw described above.  The jointer is described in another of my eBay listings. The selling price of the jointer is $900. Payment by PayPal is preferred.  Payment must be received within two days of the auction close.    Both machines are also being advertised locally and will sold to the first taker and immediately then removed from eBay.
