Thermo-Dynamic steam traps combine reliability, simplicity and efficiency of operation. With just one moving part - a hardened stainless steel disc - they give a blast discharge with clean, tight shut-off. Able to withstand superheat, waterhammer, corrosive condensate, freezing and vibration.

Watson McDaniel Steam Trap- When cool, the trap is wide open, so air is removed rapidly from the system, allowing steam to fill the heating space. The trap remains open for discharge of air and condensate. As condensate and steam warm the system the liquid in the bellows vaporizes and expands pushing the ball closer to the seat.

This inverted bucket steam trap has a integral strainer and all stainless steel internals. Best suited for equipment drains with medium to heavy condensate loads. The inverted bucket arrangement operates on the density difference between steam and water, giving a cyclic operation for discharge of the accumulated condensate.
