This auction offers a Hamamatsu R-1548-01 PMT, a "Dual Cathode" square-faced Photo-Multiplier Tube unit made in Japan. It functions as two separate PMTs in a single glass tube, making it ideal for probe construction. The PMT body measures about 7cm in length and has a face area of approximately one inch square. It comes with a removable 17-pin High Voltage divider socket assembly. The PMTs in this auction are used but were working normally when removed from decommissioned medical equipment. The PMTs can be exchanged for free if they are found to be weak or faulty. International customers can purchase the item for $13.95 for the first item and $1.95 for each additional item. If desired, square BGO crystals can be used with the PMTs to enhance their sensitivity and cover the entire face. The BGO crystals can be applied in various ways depending on the desired sensitivity and application. Thank you! A High Voltage power supply with negative output is required for operation, and a light-proof enclosure is necessary to protect the photo-cathodes from room lighting. These PMTs have high amplification strength, and the voltage can be increased up to -1750V for stronger signal gain. The PMTs must be used in a light-proof enclosure to prevent damage to the photo-cathodes.
