We bought this heater new for heating conduit to install in our house. So it only was used of the course of a couple to a few months and should have a lot of life left in it. It take a couple minutes to warm up, as it did when new but then it heats the pvc nicely and turns it into limp cooked spaghetti until the pvc cools back down at which point it becomes rigid again.
