I spent 2 years with many disappointments and many expenses trying to find acceptable stock for my cemani project and it is just starting. When selecting breeders I would look for roosters that are completely black as their genes seem to be passed on at a higher rate. At this point I'd like to share some of their eggs to give everybody an opportunity to own this exotic landrace. Cemani is all GFF from 4 different breeders all black, which does not guarantee all black chicks.- tan egg  The Cemani is a landrace and not a breed and not anywhere near standard of perfection.  Deviations from the breeds ideal should be expected. They still need a lot of breeding and we don't know what was injected in other countries as Germany, where some of GFF's Cemani came from. the Svart Hona Here is some history on the breed:   Svart Honas, also known as Swedish Black Hens, were imported to Sweden in the 1800’s from Mozambique, but Svart Honas originated in Indonesia. A nice straightforward breed to keep, its total jet-black appearance often arouses the curiosity of those who come in contact with it. Svart Hona’s are still extremely rare. The Svart Hona is a Fibromelanistic breed meaning their bones, meat, eyes, comb, legs, and feathers are solid black. There are other breeds that have the fibromelanistic gene which makes them all or mostly black, but the Swedish Black Hen is known as the blackest breed in the world. Another all black breed, the Ayam Cemani, is the close cousin to the Svart Hona. The breeds are extremely similar with most differences hard to spot. Svart Honas should not be confused with its cousin the Ayam Cemani, although they are very similar in appearance. The main difference is that the Svart Hona has a less “gamey” appearance compared to the Ayam Cemani. My flock consists of 5 hens all black and 2 roosters from mixed breeding pens, so they are more unrelated. 1 rooster is straight from GFF. The others are Greenfire farm and Ewes Crazy Farm. My eggs are never washed and are stored in a cool, dark place at around 61 degrees. I hand deliver to the post office at the time of the trucks departure. Once the eggs leave my home I can no longer be responsible for their condition at arrival. However, I will replace broken ones under certain circumstances.  Please, note that hatch rate and fertility rates are 2 different things. Hatch rates can vary widely depend on the post offices handling of your eggs in transit and your incubation method. I do not guarantee hatch rate. I hand deliver to the post office just before the truck leaves for sorting facility, once they left my hands I can no longer be responsible for the condition of the mailed eggs. Eggs can be held at the post office for your pickup. This is a good idea if you live in an area with very hot or cold weather. It may increase hatch rate. If you would like to do this I need your local post office address and your phone number so they can contact you upon the eggs arrival. NPIP Fertility is excellent and coming up with some very nice chicks. Newest additions in first pics
