: THIS item is a natural mineral for collectors and enthusiasts. It, and all of my other items, are shipped as specified within any and all applicable postal regulations in CFR AND postal Code section 52. It's a rock, like the things that get in your shoe and bug you for like six hours until it falls out of the shoe at the end of the day? Yeah? BINGO! This is a gorgeous, black as night chunk of extremely pure crystalline pitchblende. The best of the best, period. No exceptions. It shines like crazy, just stunning. I am trying something new: I will guarantee the count rate of this mineral under conservative conditions (meaning most people will get MUCH higher readings) under the following conditions: Your instrument is a calibrated Bicron Anayst, Surveyor M, or similar high range meter, using a Bicron G1LE probe at exactly 800 volts. Ask for more questions..l because I can not allow returns on these specimens. It's hard to imagine anybody not being happy with a top fuel grade 91.28% UO2 pitchblende specimen which puts out enough gamma to trigger my rate alarm in the lab!!! 93,000 on the same counter with a Bicron PGM pancake, 32,000 on a Bicron SWGM (which is what you can generally expect on a CDV 700, although my guarantee is for people only with equipment capable of measuring loaded voltage and with specific equipment at that! This is an acronym for "as low as reasonably achievable", and is something to keep in mind; particularly if you handle radioactive materials frequently. It is a good practice even if it is a bit over the top. I know the value of a human life, and want to make sure that my customers understand that ionizing radiation is absolutely fascinating, but can be dangerous in the presence of recklessness. USPS will be used for shipping most of the time, although I reserve the right to change carriers. Priority mail is used most of the time, although an item will be sent First Class if it qualifies. That's to keep it on the ground, rather than as a cost-saving measure.
