The article discusses the 10g UltraFlux UF103SR solid soldering SRA-type flux. This organic soldering flux is highly effective and activated with rosin. It is non-toxic, non-aggressive towards metals, and not corrosive. UF103SR is designed for a variety of applications, including repairs, PCB mounting, soldering copper and its alloys (excluding brass and zinc), nickel-plated items, and soldering building wire in the junction box and automotive wiring. It is recommended as a highly effective replacement for solid rosin (colophony). The UF103SR composition does not contain halogens, inorganic acids or their salts, harmful amines, amino alcohols, and hydrazines having nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity, and hepatotoxicity. Residues after soldering can be removed mechanically or with alcohol or acetone. UF103SR is a high-quality flux that provides superior results for a range of applications. The flux is particularly efficient when soldering nickel-plated surfaces such as HF, UHF and LF connectors, and battery cells. It provides good tinning of oxidized and darkened copper without the need for pre-cleaning surfaces. UF103SR can be washed off using polar organic solvents such as ethanol, isopropanol, acetone, and ethyl acetate, or an isopropanol-gasoline mixture.
