I've been asked to sell a major collection from Central Maine.  There are more than 50 steam gauges, over 30 flyball governors - some quite large, steam toys, scientific items and lots of brass.  These are all fresh to the market, direct from the garage, shed and attic.  Check my listings often or contact me if you have a specific need.   OLD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATES PRESENTS I have two of these very rare FRANKLIN VALVELESS ENG. CO. flyball governors.  This auction is for a 1 1/4", later I will list a 1 1/2". This one stands 18" tall, about 13" wide and weighs 38 pounds.  This one features the small name tag seen in the second photo.  Operation is moveable, but stiff from old grease, old barn dirt and light surface rust.  Gears mesh cleanly and there are no broken teeth.  I am not able to move the balls with moderate hand pressure, I suspect that a good cleaning will resolve that issue.  Balls, fulcrums and pivots are all brass/bronze.  Valve is marked 1 1/4" E TYPE and G3805.  Flywheel is 6" by 1 3/8".  Overall, very heavily built. Will be shipped on a pallet to protect it in transit.  Buyer pays only actual cost for pallet (est. $50) packing, insurance and shipping. Offered With NO RESERVE !
