King Tutankhamen had a pet one of this birds named Sri Lanka Junglefowl. Ancient breed imported from Egypt in 1940 by Iowa State University Dean of Agriculture . Fast to mature, very good producer of white eggs. This breed is very tame and a very good egg layer with a production over 300 eggs per year. White medium size egg layer, very resistant to heat and cold. Fayoumis start laying eggs or fertile eggs around 5 month of age, being the most precocious breed of chicken. The eggs you're bidding on belong to the Egyptian Fayoumi family you see in the pictures.
