6+ Svart Hona Swedish Black Hen Hatching Eggs NPIP FREE SHIPPING Greenfire The Swedish Black Hen, or Svart Hona, has the same fibromelanistic trait as the well known chicken breed from Indonesia, the Ayam Cemani. Swedish Black Hens are even rarer than Cemani. Fewer than 500 Swedish Black Hens are known to be in existence. Feathers can shimmer with iridescent greens and purples. They are a very hardy breed and not known for suffering from frostbite. They are relatively small and sleek, the roosters weigh about 4 lbs and have a friendly, relaxed temperament. The hens lay white or cream-colored eggs. Our birds are NOT perfect but they are great looking birds and will make a great addition to your flock. The birds pictured are some of actual birds in the breeding pen and the rest of the birds in the breeding pen are of equal quality to those pictured. Please keep in mind Svart Hona is a landrace breed and while the parent stock has full pigment and no leakage, it is possible to hatch a less than perfect chick from time to time. Our breeder stock come directly from both Ewe Crazy Farms and Greenfire Farms! We only accept Paypal for payment. Our eggs are now shipped in foam shippers to to better insure the safety of the eggs during shipment. The foam shippers also provide good insulation during the summer and winter months. We typically ship eggs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If you would like your eggs shipped on Friday or Saturday please include a note when you check out through PayPal. We ship USPS Priority 2-day or 3-day. If you message us with your zip code then we can tell you if USPS should have your eggs to you in 2 or 3 days. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Sunday afternoon your eggs will ship out on Monday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Monday afternoon your eggs will ship out on Tuesday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Tuesday afternoon your eggs will ship out Wednesday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Wednesday afternoon your eggs will ship out Thursday. If these shipping schedules (for example shipping on Thursday for a Saturday or Monday delivery depending on USPS) do not work for you then please send us a message before placing a bid so that we can set up accomodations that will work for both of us. We only ship to the lower 48 states. Due to the time sensitive nature of hatching eggs, payment is expected immediately after the auction ends so that your eggs can ship out as soon as possible. If you are in a cold climate and want to add a Uniheat 72 hour shipping warmer to your shipment it will be an additional $4.00. Send us a message before you check out with Paypal so that we can send you an invoice with the shipping warmer included. Also, we recommend that you have your eggs held at your post office for you to pick up instead of having them delivered to your house. This saves them from traveling in a rough riding postal truck all day long that is either too hot or too cold. If you want them held at the post office just let us know in the note section when you check out with Paypal. Make sure to include your phone number with the note so that we can include it on the package for the post office to call you when the package arrives. Please contact us before leaving any negative feedback so we can work through any issues. Our concern is to make sure you are happy with your purchase. We cannot guarantee hatch rates due to many variables beyond our control during shipping. Rough handling, xray machines, fluctuating temperatures, and your experience with the actual incubation process all effect your hatch rate. Please leave my feedback based on the condition of the eggs you receive and not the hatch rate. I will always try to send extras to cover any that the shipper may crack. Please take a picture of any cracked eggs and email them to me ASAP. I will give you replacement on eggs that the extra eggs don't cover, you just pay the actual shipping cost.
