6+ Hatching Eggs from Woodfield Line SERAMA This auction is a very special opportunity. We have had a closed flock for the past 8 years, not having sold/given any Serama except to start several local 4-H'ers and our family members. We will be offering a very limited number of eggs this spring as the incubators are full! Some of our shipments may include up to 9-10 or more eggs depending on how the girls are laying. We guarantee at least 6 plus extras in case of postal damage. This auction will mail within 5-10 days of purchase. We only ship Mon-Wed to allow enough transit time for delivery prior to weekend. The Woodfield Family has bred Serama since 2003, with our birds going back to the Schexnayder and Theodore original imports in 2001. We have won a number of shows over the years: Best in Show at Ohio Nationals, Best Variety/Reserve Breed at Cajun Classic, dozens of class champions. Many birds that we sold have gone on to win a number of other high awards. Our focus on the past several years has been on our wheaten and duckwing projects. Our duckwing birds are nearly all descendants of multi-time national champion "Artimus" bred by Jerry Schexnayder. You will receive eggs from BOTH of these color breeding groups, where we cull for consistent type, egg laying production, and healthy birds. Most of our birds are in the B to C class size range, as we have found the majority of A class Seramas to be unhealthy and greatly lacking in consistency of production. We will also include a few eggs from our fun breeding groups which included random colors bred only for type. This includes mottled, tri-speckled, self-chocolate, lemon pyle, pumpkin, birchen, BB red, exchequer, silkieds, frizzleds, and more. Josiah is also author to a previously published book, "The Serama Handbook" which has sold several thousand copies world-wide. ALL of the photos attached are of past or current birds that have either come from our breedings or were some of our show stock. We will be updating more photos as time permits. Please leave feedback on receipt of your eggs. We are not responsible for hatch rates due to circumstances beyond our control: postal handling, x-ray, late shipments by P.O., incubator conditions, acts of God, etc. We will guarantee at least 6, unbroken Serama eggs or will refund the proportionate amount for any breakage. Our eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and layered in shredded newspaper, bubble-wrap, etc prior to cartoning. This will ensure maximum protection for your eggs during shipping.
