15+ FRESH "HATCHING EGGS" FROM OUR SWEET ROUEN DUCKS! WE ARE OFFERING 15+ROUEN DUCK HATCHING EGGS ! WE WILL ADD ANY EXTRAS THAT ARE LAID AS WELL! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SWEET, CALM AND BEAUTIFUL DUCK THAT OUTLAYS MOST OTHER BREEDS AND HAS VERY GOOD FEED TO PRODUCTION RATIO>>>>>THEN YOU NEED TO CONSIDER THE ROUEN! THEY FORAGE FOR MOST OF THEIR FOOD EVEN WHEN YOU FREE FEED THEM! MY GIRLS LAY BLUISH GREEN EGGS AND A FEW LAY THE PEARL COLORED EGGS. I LOVE THESE DUCKS! These are the "utility version" of the Rouen Ducks....but I find them to be just as pretty as the exhibition birds! I need the utility of this breed to lay lots of eggs to eat and still produce a nice bird to go on a platter for supper. This breed of duck provides both of those things. I also like a very pretty bird! The Rouen definitely does that as well! Exhibition birds are bred to compete for looks and confirmation...they lay a lot less eggs. Up until recently I had raised only chickens (several breeds). Well, a friend of mine convinced me to try the ducks out and just see how it went. She told me that they had a better food ratio and that they weren't prone to all the illnesses that chickens are prone to. Also, that they were very easy keepers. So.....I thought well what the heck...I'll give them a try. Man......can I just tell you.....that was one of the best things I've ever done! They have NOT DISAPPOINTED me at ALL! The Rouen are so striking in appearance (resembling the Mallard Duck) and lay tons of eggs (large) and do not eat you out of house and home like some fowl do! They are a gorgeous meat bird, which has excellent flavor to boot! I'm so glad that I took the chance~they have a home here for sure! I have checked 0ut fertility by hatching out some of the eggs myself. I got a 90% hatch rate. I can't guarantee that you will get that same hatch rate....because shipping eggs is rough on them. But, I am sending extras to give you every chance to hatch a fair share of ducklings! These will be VERY FRESH eggs! Pictures in this auction are of our actual birds! No reproducing is allowed w/o written permission from Jobele Heritage Farm. THESE EGGS ARE BEING AUCTIONED FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY! We take every precaution to make sure that you receive viable eggs by not collecting the eggs until we receive payment for them. This usually takes only a few days....but since we are dealing with live animals...they don't always have the same agenda as we do...so they can have a tendency to STOP laying at ANY GIVEN TIME! If we aren't able to fill your order within 14 days of the auction end....we will gladly refund your money! When we receive your payment we will start to collect your eggs. Also, each one of the eggs will be wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a shipping box full of bubble wrap. A heat pack can be added upon request for an additional $2.00. We will make every effort to work with you to assure a safe arrival of your eggs. We will place extra eggs in when possible. This should allow for any that might break in transit. That being said....WE CANNOT AND WILL NOT GUARANTEE YOUR EGGS!
