The engine in the photos is the engine you are bidding on. This engine is in rough condition. It may be missing a few parts. It is rusted, the large crank moves but the small ones are frozen up. I have never seen it run and was told it has not run in at least ten years. It has been sitting outside under a tarp for about ten years. I received it in this condition and have not done anything to it except wrap it back up in a tarp and put it in my driveway. Someone needs to rescue this motor. I had plans on setting this up with my collection of antiques and never got around to doing any of it. I hate having it wasting away outside. This is an as-is sell with no warranty or guarantee. The engine as stated is in need, of a rebuild, overhaul. The engine tag is still on it with the serial number which is 359528. From the info I could find this S/N is for a late 1927 or early 1928 Hercules 1.75 (1 3/4) HP engine. 600 RPM listed on the tag. I am not positive if it actually is a 1.75 hp or if I have the years correct. Like I said the info I found was on the internet. I am located in Sag Harbor, New York. Which is on the east end of Long Island. It is up to the buyer to come pick this up. I am not going to ship this. I will not arrange for shipping. The auction states local pick up only and that is exactly what this auction is. If you can not pick up this item please do not bid.
