The 24" flywheels are 2 1/2" wide and the overall height is 4' 1/4". Although it hasn't been run in about 30 years and has been sitting in a barn since, the engine spins over smoothly and everything works. The seller holds the engine for 90 days, unless other arrangements are made, and the buyer can arrange shipping through Fastenal. The engine needs some cleaning or full restoration, depending on the buyer's preference. This engine is available at a low reserve price, and the seller provides a payment option that does not involve PayPal. Despite the age of this engine, the exposed metal surfaces are in good condition without any pitting, except for a repaired freeze crack on the water jacket. This engine features vertical sideshaft and has iconic red paint from the 1970s. There are no other cracks, breaks, or welds on the engine, and the original intake and brass mixer are still intact. The Cavanaugh & Darley "Red Devil" 2 1/2 HP hit miss antique engine is a rare and desirable addition to any collection. It also comes with a reproduction nameplate, and the governor is located in the top cam plate. The engine has been converted to spark plug ignition, but it could easily be returned to low tension ignitor with some effort.
