This Atlas has all the capability of a floor model and I think it's the perfect candidate to mount to a rolling drilling center. Classic Arn, this one. Completely disassembled, stripped, cleaned, buffed, polished, painted, and reassembled using new sealed bearings. Brand new heavy duty Jacobs chuck. New belt. It came with a really tight newer 1/2 hp Dayton motor so no worries there. I did, however rework his power cord and she spins up nice and quiet. I saw red when I found it, i hope you like that. Original manual included but remember, no oiling of bearings ever again on this unit. Did you see that vise? Perfect fit, and since the table tilts, now you can drill on an angle in confidence. So, ok, so far? Tell me when did you get a drill press like this and Also get a really nice mortising set? Never? Me neither. I was going to make a mortising table for it but stopped since it's not mine and you may have other preferences but I did make a handy little storage tray so everything stays together without dumping out all over the place. Wait! You're not seeing double. There really are 2 depth stop rods. One for drilling and one for mortising and by the way that Jacobs chuck? Comes off really easy to switch between the 2 functions. Don't let some yayhoo tell you a drill press can't mortise. His can't but this one will. 5/16, 3/8, and 1/2 inch chisel sets just sharpened.
