IF YOU ARE INTO VINTAGE, YOU WILL LIKELY NEVER AGAIN COME ACROSS A 35 YEAR OLD SET OF SEALED IN SHRINK WRAP NEW OLD STOCK PANTONE COLOR SPECIFIER UNCOATED STOCK AND COATED STOCK SETS WITH THE PERIOD BINDER FROM 1982/1983 So, the binder does not have a date on it but, based on other listings and other sources, it was the binder used by Pantone in 1982 and 1983. That is where I got my date from. The binder is in like new condition but has been in the air for 34 years so it is actually not technically new even though it has not been used. There are some bumps and bubbling on the outside of the binder (see photos) but it was probably produced that way. both the PANTONE COLOR SPECIFIER COATED STOCK & PANTONE COLOR SPECIFIER UNCOATED STOCK are in their original packaging shrink wrap and have never been used. Therefore you have no missing chips and since they have not seen light or air in the past 34 years they will be perfectly correct and new because they actually are NEW even though they are from the early 1980's. Forgive my ignorance but I don't know if the new sets are spectacularly better than these older ones. They might be. I truly don't know. Are the swing open swatch books more desirable?  Obviously the world has come up with more colors since 1982 and that whole "computer" thing. This is hard for me to price.         Please note that USPS shipping fees were increased significantly on January 17, 2016 I utilize a third party shipper for international sales. Please note the actual shipping cost before purchasing. That is not my shipping fee and I neither receive it nor know what the amount is. Please do not commit to "buy it now" until you have seen the shipping amount that you will be charged. Thank you. For International Buyers:  Media Mail shipments only. Please note that, although you are likely paying very high shipping costs to have this item sent to you, I am not charging those costs. In the case of books, I utilize "media mail" to get the box to the third party shipper. "Media mail" is a very SLOW speed mailing process reserved for books and records that are potentially very heavy. If you can not wait for my shipment to reach the third party shipper at a very slow pace, please contact me before purchasing and I can add a faster (and more expensive) alternative to the listing to get the item to the third party shipper.
