Fascinating color combination guide/ tool from the 1940s.  This is the Student Model of the Color Helm Guide to Correct Color Combinations.  It is in very good condition and comes with original box and directions (printed on both sides.) It measures approx. 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". The wheel has slight wrinkling in a few places and some age spotting on back and front. Box is intact with one small stain on cover. Please see all photos.  This color system is very complete. It was based on color standards developed by Dr. Ostwald, a 1909 Nobel Prize winning scientist. Lots of fascinating material contained on the back of the wheel and in the directions.  This device was made to deliver a 'simple' device for measuring and showing color combinations for use in fabric design, painting, advertising, industrial art, etc.
