SquareTrade © AP6.0 Rebar Grade Plate   The Grade Plates are used with the screed chairs when you are pouring in softer soil or using a heavy roller pipe and are concerned that the rebar might sink.  The grade plates slide on to the rebar at the base after you have pounded the rebar to about an inch of the proper grade.  As you finish pounding your rebar to the string with the rebar driver tool, the plate will be compressed into the soil making it a lot more dificult to sink.  They are cut out of thick steel plate.     Visit my ebay store.
