This Tool post and holders are new have been on a shelf for several years. There is no rust or any form of cosmetic damage. I did not have the original 5-40 x 3/8 SHCS which have a .030 wide slot that contains a piece of bent spring steel to maintain friction on the tool height adjusting thumb nuts.I replaced them with standard screws and used silicon for the friction feature.
