37 ~ Rare Dynamo Flyball Governor

OLD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATES Presents This was the governor from some type of very early electrical dynamo. The collet in the last photo would have had a pulley mounted there and connected directly to the dynamo. As the speed increased the stubby brass cylinders (instead of balls) would have spun outward and thru the linkage behind the little rectangular box would have moved the small flat plate located in the rectangular box, this would have activated some type of switch that would disconnect the dynamo to prevent it from an over output condition. Spins easily.
